The Area Around Calahonda
It is quite possible to take a day trip to Gibraltar and take home some
real duty free goods or just meet the Apes.
Ronda and Granada are good day trips also, but Seville is a long day.
There are markets in the local towns, you can find out the "days" in the
free papers "Sur" is one of them.
There are numerous Golf courses around Calahonda , the area is known
locally as "Costa del Golf"

Local Beaches
The nearest beach is within walking distance (approx. fifteen minutes) and
can be accessed via the tunnels under the road or the footbridge over the
road near Barclays Bank. The next local beach 'Cabo Pino' is a short car
journey away towards Marbella. Here there is a good beach for children and
a marina offering a wide choice of watersports and sightseeing, it ajoins a
naturist beach and has a car park.
Marbella and Puerto Banus also offer good beaches and watersports though
involve travelling slightly further (approx. 10km).
You can sit around the harbour and "people watch".

The restaurants and bars in the area are numerous. Within walking distance
of the apartment you will find many restaurants ranging from Italian,
Indian, Chinese, English and several more traditional Spanish restaurants.
